New bill allows the sale of horse meat for human consumption

Horse owners and activities are outraged about a new bill passed by congress. What was once banned for human consumption could now become part of the American diet. BYU-Idaho students, many of whom own horses or are close to them, are shocked and voice their opinions on the matter. See what they have to say by clicking below.

Background Information:
I came across this story when my co-anchor, Kayla Gilbert, shared the news with me. Her outrage about the issue made me want to discover more about the story and how other students felt about it. It was interesting to see so many people against the eating of horses and the a majority of them admitted the main reason they wouldn't eat it was because of our cultural norms. I personally don't think horse meat will even become popular in the US because of cultures and relationships with horses.
